Ulster XC 2017 – Round 3 – Davagh

Date: Sunday 7 May 2017
Event: Ulster XC Series Round 3
Venue: Davagh Forest
Host club: Carn Wheelers

Course Description:
The start/finish area will be as last year in the lower car park. The main course will be pretty much as before but in reverse. Starting with the first trail centre climb (nicknamed alp d huez) from there to Boundary rock which will be ridden in the opposite direction with a few technical features to master on the way through before the run up to the Deer trail. A fast run down the deer trail, along the river, to the technical climb out. A right turn before turning left into the Eagle rock trail centre trail. Fast and flowy section round Sika Corner towards the long natural old school xc loop. Then it’s the run back along the walker’s path over the bridge toward the start/finish with two natural sections before crossing the line. The kid courses will be again the same as last year but only in reverse.
Car parking, bike wash and toilets all at the trail head as well as the play park for the younger ones.
