Many thanks to Banbridge Cycling Club for hosting the 2016 Ulster Mountain Bike Cross-country championships at Castlewellan Forest Park. We had dry conditions throughout the day until just after the final rider crossed the line. It was a wet clean up with riders rushing for their cars. A great days racing. Results here
Pre-entries have opened for the 5th round of the National Point Series which takes place at Davagh Forest on Sunday 14 August 2016. This round also doubles up as Round 5 of the Ulster XC series. There is a great pre-view video which is well worth watching. Click here for details.
After receiving expressions of interest from riders, the Off-road Commission held a selection day on Sunday 3 July 2016. From that, the commission has selected the following riders to represent Ulster at the upcoming Inter-regional MTB Championships which will be held in Glasgow on 29-31 July 2016. The Irish National Cross-country Championships will take place on Sunday 17 July 2016 at Bellurgan Park, Dundalk. Hosted by Cuchulainn CC, the park has seen some great racing in the past with the NPS series. Riders will need to have a UCI code starting with “IRL” on their licence.
