A return to sunshine and a sense of spring in the air for Round 3 of the Xmtb Spring Series which took place in Ormeau Park in Belfast on Sunday 25 March 2018. Round 2 had been cancelled due to the ‘Beast from the East’ weather front which had moved in. The series was then just held over 2 events.

Shimna Wheelers has agreed to run the Ulster XC Championships at Castlewellan Forest Park – Sunday 19 August 2018. The Inter Regional Mountain Bike Championships, run by British Cycling, brings together the best of young talent from all regions of the UK. The event is made up of teams of Under 14 and Under 16 boys and girls, competing against one another to gain points for their teams. The standard of competition is extremely high, with British and European champions in attendance.
