The second round of the British HSBC XC NPS Round 2 took place over the weekend of 22-23 April at Wasing, Berkshire. Cycling Ulster had entered a team of 3 riders: John Buller from Banbridge CC, Thomas Creighton and Craig McCarthy both from McConvey Cycles. Accompanying them was Gareth McKee who was acting as Coach, riding for Cycleology Racing in the Elite category, and Simon Curry as Team Manager.
Ormeau Park in Belfast was ablaze in spring sunshine for the third and final round of the Xmtb Spring Series. The first round of the Ulster Cross-country Mountain Bike Series took place today at Tollymore Forest Park. Host club Dromara CC had been on site for two days preparing the course and the event field. Round 1 of the Xmtb Spring Series took place today at Ormeau Park. Although the morning started dry the predicted wet weather arrived before the start of the first race. The rain went from light to very heavy back to light again. When all racing was finished the sun came out!! Lots of fun in the mud.
