On Sunday 26 March 2023 Kinning Cycles hosted the Spring mountain bike race at Ormeau Park in Belfast. This is the second year that the host club has ran a cross-country race at this site. The Cycling Ulster Off-road Commission sent 8 riders to this year’s Inter-regional Mountain Bike Cross-country Championships. The event was held over the 10-11 September 2022 at Cannock Chase hosted by Hope Technology and Crank It Cycling in association with British Cycling. The Ulster Cross-country Mountain Bike Championships took place on Saturday 13 August 2022 at Whitespots Country Park (the leadmines) which is just outside Newtownards. On Sunday 6 March 2022, Kinning Cycles hosted a cross-country mountain bike race at Ormeau Park in Belfast. The site had been used in previous years by Xmtb so it was great to return to the much loved venue. Like the Xmtb series this race was primarily aimed at youth with races for Under 6s up to Under 16s. Tagged onto the youth events were races for Women and Men….

2021 saw only one cross-country mountain bike event in Ulster.
